DESCRIPTION:
PW case only - B.W.Co. (Boston Watch Co.) silver 18S KWKS HC with eagle hallmark inside rear, s#2412. A scarce early Boston Watch Co. case of 1850s vintage, likely originally with a Dennison, Howard & Davis movement.
CONDITION:
Case shows ample wear, prominent small nick to right perimeter of rear, small nick to lower-right perimeter of rear, prominent depressions from bow to upper perimeter of front, mild depressions from bow to upper perimeter of rear, no engine turning detail remains to front or rear, some portions of engine turning remain to band, reduced front engraving detail, front lift spring is weak allowing front lid to tip a bit past half-way closed with gravity; tight bow, push shows ample wear; good glass crystal.
